Bridgman (for nearly 50 years a teacher at the Art Students League in New York) for a solid foundation and understanding of human anatomy/5(3). This book covers drawing for the first chapters then quickly switches mediums. If you want a singular book on drawing then I’d instead recommend the first books at the top of this list.
However I wouldn’t say this book is bad or incorrect in how it teaches drawing. This book is a very clear exposition on the use of constructive approach to drawing the figure. The Figure is analyzed using the basic forms first, to get a sense of proportion, relationships etc/5(28).
